Yamaha’s Hybrid Motorcycle Answer

Yamaha’s Tesseract is a hybrid powered by both a V-Twin gas powerplant and an electric motor. The suspension is what they call a “dual-scythe” which leans while cornering… just like we do on 2 wheels. Taken from the Piaggio MP3 page, it also has a dual arm lock to keep the Tesseract upright when stopped.

Here’s a machine that could convince car fans to get on their 4-wheel bike.

It seems like the run on gas prices has many manufacturers rethinking their future product mix. From 1 wheel to 4 wheels and from gas to electric, engineers are burning the midnight oil to determine what can benefit the consumer as well as what the consumer will purchase.
